Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White on the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Her other roles include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Her birthplace was in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love acting at the age of Preparatory School after her family relocated to Ohio in the late 1970's. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in the theatre industry in the Chicago region for a couple of months before she tried her luck in TV as well as films. In 1992, Anna landed her first big role in the role of Arden in the 29th episode from Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as a guest star in a few TV shows and films like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 1990's, when she was tapped in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them as well as its eventual collapse mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of life.
