LadyGaga has met with her performance artist Lady Starlight during this time in 2007; following her performance at Lollapalooza Festival in 2007 Gaga was signed by Vince Herbert to Streamline Records, an imprint owned by Interscope Records. In 2008 Gaga released her debut album 'The fame' to minimal radio coverage. Gaga went on tour across Europe and also in gay clubs in the US to promote the album - however it was not until her hit single "Just Dance" gained mainstream attention in 2009 that Gaga became a major player on the scene. Gaga was suffering from a labral injury in her right hip. She had been taking care of it in secret for several weeks so that she could go on tour. Following her show in Toronto, Gaga was unable walk and was in extreme pain. She was admitted to the hospital and the tour was cancelled.
